The private forest pavilions are developed as additions to a summer house located in the area of Comporta in Portugal. They will function as spaces for reading, relaxation and meditation.
The library can be used in different ways in response to the clients needs and weather conditions. During the clients absence and the colder months it can stay as a compact reading space, while during the warmer months it can be opened up to the surrounding forest like a book, blurring the lines between inside and outside.
The treehouse is an abstract interpretation of a seashell and offers a relaxation space to retract and relax with a view over the forest valley. The catamaran netting floor and open skylight allow for natural ventilation.
